1. Information We Collect
Business owners (you): Name, email, phone number, business name, trade type, services, rates, hours, service area, and payment information — provided during onboarding or account management.
Your customers (End Users): Name, phone number, email address (if provided), and the content of chat and SMS conversations handled by the AI on your behalf.
Automatically collected: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and usage data for performance monitoring and service improvement. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party tracking scripts at this time.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Service (AI chat, SMS, missed-call text-back, lead capture)
- Configure your AI receptionist with your business details
- Send you lead notifications when new customers reach out
- Process billing and manage your subscription
- Communicate about service updates, maintenance, and support
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Data Sharing & Sub-Processors
We do not sell your data or your customers' data. We share data only with the following service providers as necessary to operate the Service:
- OpenAI: Conversation content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate AI responses. Subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Twilio: Phone numbers and SMS content are processed through Twilio for text messaging. Subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Payment information is processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend: Transactional emails (lead notifications) are sent via Resend. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
- Turso (libSQL): Business and conversation data is stored in a Turso-hosted database. Subject to Turso's Privacy Policy.
- Netlify: The Service is hosted on Netlify. Subject to Netlify's Privacy Policy.
4. SMS Messaging & Opt-Out
When a customer contacts a business using Always On Call AI, they may receive automated SMS responses. Customers can opt out of future automated messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. We process opt-out requests promptly. Opting out does not affect your ability to contact the business through other means.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on customer interactions.
5. Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized systems and personnel. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure. We will notify affected users of any material data breach as required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your business data and conversation history for the duration of your active account plus 90 days after cancellation or termination. After that period, data is permanently deleted. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us at support@alwaysoncallai.com.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your business data from your dashboard
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
